Pointelle Slider Settings not working when All in One Event Calendar plugin is active

Posted By on |

If the Slider settings panel is not being displayed properly with all the options open and you have All i One Events Calendar plugin activated, it can be due to JS conflict between jquery tools and jquery ui library.

Open the Theme Functions file for editing (FTP => wp-content => themes => tour theme folder => functions.php) and add the below code at the very bottom of the file

//Added to resolve Pointelle and All in one event calendar conflict
function custom_remove_ai1ec_scripts(){
if ( is_admin() and isset($_GET['page']) and ('pointelle-slider-admin' == $_GET['page'] or 'pointelle-slider-settings' == $_GET['page'] ) ) {
wp_deregister_script( 'jquery.tools-form' );
add_action('init', 'custom_remove_ai1ec_scripts', 20);

[Note: Same is the code in case there is issue between other SliderVilla Sliders and the events plugin. Just you will have to replace ‘pointelle’ with ‘roster’ or ‘listic’ or whatever is the Slider plugin’s first name).

You can also edit the theme Functions file thru Appearance => Editor => Theme Functions, but on some WP installations (I guess Server specific), I have observed that though you edit the file using this editor, the file is actually not edited. You need to go to FTP, download the file, modify it using code editor or n=plain text editor and upload it to proper location, in order to make the modifications work. So I would suggest to use FTP method at first go.
