How to Disable Cropping of Images

Posted By on |

Feature available from Pointelle version: 1.2 and above

By default, the images in Pointelle (large slide images and thumbnail images in navigation) are intelligently cropped to fit in the width and the height of slider areas, so that the images are not disproportional and do not look stretched or skewed. But if you are planning to upload proportional images to the width and height of the slider, then you can disable this cropping script.

As well, the timthumb cropping does not work on certain servers, due to which the images are not pulled inside the slider. Please go thru http://guides.slidervilla.com/debugging-timthumb/ to make timthumb work. In case, by trying all the means, though timthumb does not work, you can disable the timthumb cropping and use the directly uploaded images.

To Disable Image Cropping

Go to Pointelle Slider Settings => Left Slides Panel tab => Slide Image => Disable Image Cropping (using timthumb) => Select ‘Yes’ => Save Settings
